The Visual Impairment Scale of Service Intensity of Texas (VISSIT) was developed to guide itinerant teachers of students with visual impairments in determining the type and amount of service to recommend for each individual student based on student need in all areas of the expanded core curriculum.

This webinar detailed the purpose of the scale, demonstrated its use, and briefly reported the findings of its field-testing and initial validation study. The preliminary results of a larger scale national study on the VISSIT was also shared.
